At times, it feels like everything is competing for our children’s attention. From television screens to light-up toys, it can all really start to become sensory overload. This is why I love trying to find places that create hands-on experiences so we can make memories without all the noise. Honeycomb in St. Louis does just that. This inventive spot provides everything you could ever need for an unforgettable afternoon!
Honeycomb is one part play place, one part school, and one part store. Angela Giancola and Zoe Elise Kaemmerer opened this Tower Grove space as a safe space where every child would have the chance to flourish. The two women have brought their vision to life by making a lovely spot where kids can take classes and explore while parents look around at specialty goods. The shop offers organic and sustainable goods you’ll enjoy buying. Its classes encourage our kiddos to build community while we get to build relationships ourselves!
Honeycomb is known for its incredible classes. You can sign your child up for 45 minutes, where they can create while exploring. These classes often incorporate themes such as nature. The classes open with music before breaking into sensory playtime your child will adore.
The space has regular play times you can reserve ahead of time. You can choose for your child to have an unstructured play where they explore and do whatever piques their interest. They can also participate in Wobbel Gym Class, where they’ll gather with friends and play on wooden Wobbel boards. Children under the age of 4 will need the help of parents, but trust me; you’re going to have just as much fun!
The store sells a great selection of products that are child-safe and parent-approved. You can find soft knit hats, rust-shade bed canopies, lovable stuffed animals, and cotton bath towels. They have sulfate-free shampoo, silicone cups, and sunscreen sticks formulated for delicate skin. The store section of Honeycomb is gorgeous, with an aesthetic perfect for any nursery.
Honeycomb provides plenty of opportunities for children to make themed works of art. The space hosts workshops and craft days around holidays to allow kids to learn and create. The store lets families reserve the space for birthday parties. Your child will have 2 hours minimum to host friends, laugh, and play. You’ll have the ability to add on an activity, such as music or a craft, for an additional fee.
If you’re looking for an interactive place devoted to helping you build memories, you will adore Honeycomb in St. Louis. This woman-owned space is full of fun activities for the entire family.
