Who has trouble deciding what to wear to family portraits? I do- At least when I’m deciding for myself! My problem is I’m too indecisive. I’ll think about what color to paint my house, what I want for dinner, or what I want to wait to family pictures for way too long! Maybe you just need some direction.  You aren’t sure what colors to choose? Or what style is most flattering? Or coordinating the whole family gets confusing? It can be stressful knowing what you choose will hang on your walls for years! As a general rule, dresses with movement and texture photograph best. Minimizing patterns is best for family pictures since you’ll have several people and don’t want your pictures looking too busy. You’ll definitely want to think about whether you’re looking for something for a studio session or an outdoor family photoshoot, but many can be used in either instance.

This gold dress goes with everything! I really love how it can be used for a family session or maternity, but doesn’t look like a maternity dress. It has a v neck with a cinched  waist. The texture is so cool!! Sage and bronze are also beautiful colors! This would work for either a studio portrait session or outdoor family portraits. This Lydia dress is gorgeous. So flowy. So beautiful. Stone is such a great neutral, but slate blue is stunning! I think this one may be my favorite. I’ve been eyeing it for months for my own family’s pictures. It is a long sleeve maxi dress with robe style tie and a v neck.
